I think I grew up in the Shire… Part 3… the end…

So maybe you live somewhere that looks less like the Shire and more like… say… Rohan or Mirkwood.  Hopefully you don’t live somewhere that reminds you of Mordor, because that would be a shame. But you should be able to find a little piece of Middle Earth somewhere close by…

a1Go out and take some pictures and share them with us. Every place on this earth has some magic to it…

a2Some little spot where your imagination conjures up somewhere else…

a3Where you are taken back to some bit of some book that caught your fancy when you were young and you could let your mind travel to the places you read about…

a4Find those gates in the world around you, and open them up and peek inside… no… not literally… that is called breaking and entering or at least trespassing… you know what I mean…

a5Maybe the people who live in these magical places are as interesting and different as Hobbits and Elves and Dwarves, and have as much to teach you about their own magic places… that sounded a little dirty, but once again, you know what I mean…

a6I guess what I am saying is that it is sort of up to you whether you just see a gate in a fence or whether you see an opening into a magical little garden full of wonder and adventure.

This is a lovely post — I’ve been away for a while, but I’m coming back. I hope your new year is full of blessings.

I still think you were trying to trick me, but these posts were lovely so it was worth it.

There’s a picture I took because I swear it looked like a little gnome had been wearing a trail in the dirt next to the tree.
