Mollie made dinner last night. I bet you are thinking hot dogs or something simple like that…
You couldn’t be more wrong!
This is what she made;
A fennel salad with orange slices, drizzled with lemon juice and olive oil and just a sprinkle of sugar.
Asparagus in butter with a lemon peel garnish.
Bananas baked in butter and brown sugar with a splash of fresh lemon juice.
(My mom has lemon and orange trees in her backyard, in case you were wondering)
I wish I had taken some pictures. I think Mollie took some, but I will have to wait till we get home to share those.
Pouring My Art Out 
I don’t even know what fennel is. Is that like funnel cake? I know what that is. You have a talented daughter over there.
It is a root vegetable… it was a very healthy meal. Thanks for saying hi to her. You let your good side slip out again.
I’m like the San Diego Chicken. I have my good and bad side. Ultimately kids just want me to wave at them and maybe help Tony Gwynn get a base hit.
Even the guy in the Micky Mouse suit at Disneyland scares a lot of little kids. Not on purpose, but hey, it is a giant rodent…

I am a man of many talents. My mom also taught the boys to sew, do laundry, love art museums, and other useful skills.
