Because I am on one of these…
And I was zipping around San Diego Bay with both my daughters in town at the same time
Mollie and her new boyfriend, Ben. They are almost annoyingly adorable.
Jessica and her husband Jason, looking badass.
We saw sights… and stuff…
And the pineapple boat!
It was an awesome day. We went kayaking last week. That is a lot more work.
And you cover a lot less ground… uh… water?
I love boats and the water.
I am glad I brought the old camera this time.
We had three jet-skis, so I was the only one who got to ride alone. Which is good, because I scared myself a few times jumping boat wakes.
And don’t worry, I have more pictures!
Next time I want to see you piloting one of those aircraft carriers!
I was stationed on one in the Navy, and I volunteered on the museum one.
Sweet!

What were you doing in my hood?
Looking out so I didn’t run you down.
Looks like you got awfully close to those navy ships. They don’t mess around. I never saw you in Carlsbad, so we’re cool. Take care!
Thanks. We only got close to the Midway, and I used to be part of the volunteer crew.
How did I not know that you were in this area? You didn’t by any chance ever notice a 127 ft Korean era Army tug near the Maritime Museum, did you? That was our training ship when we had the nonprof. Now, there’s no ship and no hub, which is why the confessions of a tug capt is deleted from my blog. Hope you’re doing ok in this covid world.
I am doing good, thanks. I love the old boats. I did notice the tug.
