The best thing about tigers… from a photographer’s point of view… is that, when they are out where you can see them, they tend to pace back and forth…
This lets you capture them from several angles.
Maybe only bored zoo tigers do this, but I like that picture right there.

Tigers are such beautiful animals. I their pacing means they’re stalking prey. Zoo days are usually fun days. It may seem cruel to keep animals penned up like that. But, with the world’s population exploding almost uncontrollably, it’s the best thing for now.
The San Diego zoo and wild animal park actually do a lot to preserve endangered species.
