Another good news/bad news thing…

IMG_5499

Well, I ended up in the emergency room tonight… Don’t panic, it’s just my very first kidney stone! Wow… maybe the worst pain ever, and I have done some stupid stuff in my life… and my wife was supposed to fly back East for a wedding tomorrow, and now she has to stay to help out… I won’t be able to drive.

So right now, I am on some drug that is artificial morphine… Only better… and that took three doses before it even began to take the edge off. And I am going to be on pain meds for the next few days… so who knows what kind of blog posts we will end up seeing.

The good news is that today, I babysat my little buddy Olivia, and we went to the zoo… so I have more animal photos to share… in between the rest of the  pictures of the visit by our English relatives… and as I said… who knows what else?

Because pain meds mixed with a head full of crack squirrels… and me with some free time…

That should be interesting!

  1. Now you know me, I don’t condone drugs……but needless to say I’m expecting some far out posts!!!

They probably gave you Percodan. Drink lots of water and pray the stone passes soon.

Oh man, get well soon! Although I am looking forward to the narcotic-influenced blog posts. Get yourself on Photoshop!

I had a kidney infection last year – and I’ve heard kidney stones are worse, so you have my sympathy!
Hope they get rid of them soon so you can get home (and off the drugs)

If they re giving you opioids for pain – check to make sure they are not OxyContin. That stuff is bad news. I’ve had a coupe of friends who have lost it on Oxy and they are the street drug of choice. They were outlawed in Canada last ear.
