I just happened to look at my stats page, and noticed there is a button to see your views and visitors for entire years… and I found out that I actually got less views in 2015 than I did in 2014… even though, supposedly, I got more visitors. So, either more people are looking at less stuff, which would reflect poorly on my blogging skills… or WordPress is slowly losing momentum and is headed the way of the dinosaur and the dodo…
Because, and let’s be honest here, it can’t possibly be that people are showing up and getting bored and then leaving right away… that would not only be an insult to my ability to be entertaining, but would seem to indicate that you all have shorter attention spans than people did a short while ago.
Frankly, I would rather believe that WordPress is going extinct.

WordPress is going downhill like a snowball gathering more snow. They keep changing things, and as a result people aren’t enamoured with it any more. They want something that is reliable and won’t keep changing. As a result, they only come back now and then. It is unfortunate, but even they have admitted that the new posting screen is a work in progress and nor finished.

WP wavers from quirky to evil-ishly odd sometimes. Blogs you subscribe to are missing in reader/notices. Leaving comments and likes doesn’t work at times. “Better” is the enemy of “good”, WP.

WordPress is having so many problems and glitches I think many people are giving up; their stats are also way off. Also, Likes aren’t staying on for many people and posts aren’t always showing up in the reader. It’s not just you. 🙂
the changes they keep making are stupid, and now, the topic pages are full of just a few identical posts posted over and over again
