I turned at last away from the rocky coastline and rough seas of Northern and Central California, heading back towards the white sandy beaches of the Southland.
Driving through a lovely valley I stopped to take some pictures of trees festooned with Spanish moss…
I love Spanish moss…
It just adds to the beauty of whatever it is hanging from.
I passed close to Morro Bay before I started heading inland. At this point I was leaving Highway 1 because I had to hurry to pick up Mollie from school.
Before I began my usual battle with the traffic and smog of Los Angeles, I passed through a few more valleys full of vineyards.
And that, as they say, is that. You don’t need to see pictures of LA. But you do need to see pictures of this guy…
Yes! My new little cousin, Clark! Remember him from Christmas? I stopped in Santa Cruz to spend the night with my cousins… and because I am doing this whole adventure backwards, we are just about ready to start with the second-to-the-last day of my trip…
Which means more pictures of this little guy… and so other stuff too.

I liked the pics you shared.
thanks so much
Awww… I think you seriously need a baby, Arthur
I just have to borrow them now
Where were you when my kids were babies? They missed out on Uncle Arthur…
I am the best uncle ever… I am actually ‘uncle’ to a lot of kids right now
Do you rent yourself out as a clown for birthday parties? I have a friend who’s looking for one! Must make balloon animals, too.
I do not do that
That’s where you draw the line, eh?! Clowns are scary anyways.
I just don’t need a painted on smile to be funny
