Our game is entering a new phase. This is where we combine your ingenuity for coming up with clever names for my works of ‘Art’ with my ability to combine my love of history… and, yes, military history… with my love of me. Also, this shows how I combine various types of art into true multimedia art.
Here is a little picture I did that combines actual photos of me with… some other stuff…
Yes, I actually went to the trouble of cutting my head out of old photos… that I mostly had two copies of for whatever reason… and stuck them into a civil war painting from an old calendar that was lying around.
I took the trouble of zooming in on some parts of this work of ‘Art’…
You know… just so you could see some of the details… like the fact that I added extra blood, once again using that thick t-shirt paint…
See, on that one I had to cut a hat out of another one of the calendar pictures and fit it on my head…
I also used some yellow paint to make gun flashes, and I used white to make more smoke in the sky, as well as gluing a little ripped up cotton ball down to make the smoke 3-D. On top of all that, I used an exacto knife to cut out the whole painting and then glued it all on the black paper background. Cutting out all those muskets with bayonets and the flags and swords and so on wasn’t easy.
Before you get all freaked out and think that I am trying to glamorize war, or that I somehow like the idea of war, let me assure you that as we do more military history posts today, I will try to explain my interest in this facet of history so you don’t think I am some kind of maniac.

I don’t even know what to say about this . . .
that happens here…
Take up masturbating. Seriously. You have too much time on your hands.
*rimshot
I took up art to stop doing that… so much… I took up art to stop taking up Art… ha
*rimshot
yup
“The Battle within”
oh… nice
Your post make me laugh out loud!
Yay!!!
I think you show yourself to be a maniac by cutting up photos of yourself for a painting. The war here is just history. I’m hoping that’s not real blood. But nice cotton ball smoke.
“Artem Bellum Civile.” (Or, The Art of Civil War in Latin.)
holy moley
“Sputum cancer petunias above meeting”
(I put something into Google Translate, had it translate into Uzbek, and then translated the result back into English. Interesting result…)
what did you put in exactly???
Let me put it this way. Sputum and cancer aren’t what I had in the original, and there was a verb: “rallies.”
oh boy
Art Browne’s Body Lies A’Mouldering in His Grave
HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would title this one, “The Art of War.”
That came up already, but it is still a good answer.
The Art of War?
Me thinks you have too much time on your hands.
that is an awesome answer… and you are just figuring that out???
I’m sorry, Doobster. I should have hit refresh on the page before writing my comment.
No worries, SB. You know what they say…great minds think alike (GMTA).
thinking… we need more of that around here…
we demand originality here! and cupcakes.
