I truly miss the way “Saturday Night Live” used to be. It is not that I am opposed to change because I think change had improved the show over the years, especially during the late 80’s and mid 90’s. But recently just has not been all that good. And I loved the original cast.

::Sigh:: I watched the show last night…well most of it. I had to stop at 10 p.m. because I was falling asleep, but I turned on the DVR, so I’ll watch the rest later today. But I was kind of saddened by how old looking (and fat) some of the original Not Ready for Prime Time Players (e.g., Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd) have become. (And yes, I’m old enough to have watched SNL back in ’75.) About the only one who still looks decent is Jane Curtin.

Of course, if I were to look at a picture of me from 1975 and then look at my reflection in the mirror today, I, too, would look old and fat. ::Sigh::
