You might well consider poetry to be a minor crime
But still I am returning to the scene of the rhyme
Or perhaps you enjoy it, and find it sublime
If so, come with me to the scene of the rhyme
You might find it as tedious as watching a mime
Please excuse my return to the scene of the rhyme
Is poetry priceless, or worth not one thin dime
Not worth a return to the scene of the rhyme?
Or is it just there, like a mountain to climb
A struggle to return to the scene of the rhyme?
Is it not worth the trouble, a waste of your time
To return with me to the scene of the rhyme?
Whatever your verdict, forgive me that I’m
Returning forthwith to the scene of the rhyme…

I always like your poetry.
thank you
Now every time I post poetry I am going to be envisioning everyone’s eyes glazing over 😦
A lot of people do not like poetry, which is why it is so amazing that your posts are so popular.
lol I am not sure how to take that…but yea I’ve been told it isnt my poetry 😦
That isn’t what I meant at all… I meant your poetry must be awesome, because not everyone even likes poetry… and you have a loyal bunch of followers who love what you write…
I knew what you meant…
xoxo
ha
I may have to agree with Elyse up there… plus, a mime? Really, a mime?
The mime fit the rhyme
I like it! Still no computer, huh? I hope you get it fixed soon Art!
Me too
Rhyme time shared is fun squared
Well played
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
That bad?
Poetry has that effect on me. It makes me run screaming from the room.
But mine is usually weird and funny
Just seeing words in stanzas.
Don’t be an elitist… Ha
I would love to like poetry. But my eyes glaze over. No, I’m not being an elitist. What’s the antonym?
Low life?
Apparently.
Just teasing
Yeah I know. I assume (presume?) you’re joking; I hope you presume the same when I’m snarky, too. I mean, if you can’t razz your friends, what’s the point?
Well exactly
Cool Art. Have you been following Idiot writer again?
I don’t think so…
I am not a fan of poetry, but I enjoyed the scene of the rhyme…at least I did this time.
Thanks
