Well, if you’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name, that’s kind of on you, you lazy varmint…

Because I have been through a lot of deserts in my time, and if there is one thing you have when going through a desert, it is free time to think up a name for  your dang horse…

Yes. Thank you. That song drives me bat stinkin’ crazy. Well actually I didn’t have that far to go. But really, yeah, give your POOR hard working horse a name. And for goodness sake don’t EAT him. Okay. I admit it. I’m a vegetarian. As well as crazy.

I always feared they didn’t name the horse so they could eat him. It kept me awake.

It’s Native American legend that the horse has no name – don’t be breaking legend now. However, that said it’s Sister Golden Hair that interests me.

Ah, America. A great 70s pop band with such a sweet sound and wonderful harmonies. America had a lot of very popular songs back then, including “A Horse with No Name.” But have you ever listened to the lyrics to most of their songs? Nonsense. I wrote a post about it a while back that you might appreciate: http://mindfuldigressions.com/2014/07/25/america-makes-no-sense/
