Oh, Canada…

a 1 a 1

Now that my computer no longer has a virus, I just wanted to do something silly in Photoshop. I didn’t know where I was going with this one, but now it makes me think of a friendly, waving moose… and that makes me think of Canada!!!

I’m suddenly very hungry for moose meat. That’s right. We eat them.

You silly goose! err, moose… and all of your comments remind me of something I have to blog about… someday 😛

“Now that my computer no longer has a virus….” Hmm. I’m wondering how we might go about reinfecting your computer.

It would look even cooler if you photoshopped an ear onto the palm of each of those hands.

You and Gibber’s convo is sounding increasingly dirty. Like, muddy.

Who knew that a moose could have “jazz hands”?

Meet a real one during rutting season (late October – through November) and he might think you’d make a cute mate – then where would you be? ha! I’ve seen moose completely trash the front of a tractor-trailer so it was undriveable. Big suckers.

    • I hear they injure people regularly…

They have one redeeming characteristic Art – they are dumb as a brick. Or as a friend of mine once said “How can a brain that small run an animal that big?”. They make Bullwinkle look like a genius. So, as Gib says – stay away from Mommas with babies, from bulls when rutting and from injured animals and you’ll be fine. They are curious, which gets them into trouble, but they are eternally puzzled. At night they will stand just off the road – usually where trees come up close to the pavement – pondering the meaning of the road. When you go to drive by, the lights confuse them and they’ll jump out in front of the vehicle. If you manage to get slowed before you hit them, they’ll turn and run down the road in the headlight beams. And they can run – easy 30 mph, which is fast for something that can weigh up to 1800 pounds. They will continue to stay in the headlights until you get to a turn, and then when the lights shine into the trees, they’ll run off the road into the forest.

I got a pile of funny stories about moose – over the years i’ve hit three of them with the truck, luckily none head on. .
