Self-actualizing Islamic fundamentalist terrorists… are you f*&$%#@ s%@#**&%* me???

Seriously? You can’t get most people to vote because they are too lazy and indifferent, but you can get people to read some articles and watch some YouTube videos, and they suddenly have the time and energy to convert to radical fundamentalist Islam, and then go out and attack some random target, knowing full well that they will most likely die in the attempt?

For some weird reason, this reminds me of a bad joke:

What is the difference between ignorance and apathy?

I don’t know and I don’t care.

The thing is… and this is a bad thing… that ignorance we still have in plenty, but whatever happened to the apathy??? Sometimes it really is better to do nothing than to do something stupid.

If you really do feel the need to take some action to change the world, why don’t you try volunteering at a soup kitchen, or become a Big Brother, run for city council, whatever. Or just convert to a religion that doesn’t ask you to kill other people.

In my other life, these nut jobs did provided me with a job though. Not a very pleasant one, but being in your early 20´s and a bit of a nut case myself with a bunch of other nut cases around me, well these idiots got what they wanted. The 17 virgins.

I dislike discussing politics. Mostly because it doesn’t interest me in general so I’m not motivated to educate myself. Also, throwing your two cents in makes you vulnerable to getting folks riled up should their opinions differ. This is bad because as a citizen one really oughtta make the effort to participate. But reading this post makes me want to share so I found two pennies amongst my loose change to toss. My son served in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Afghanistan for eight months. You wanna talk about ignorance? The things he saw would blow your mind. Their ignorance was rampant. Little to no desire to educate themselves which in my mind moves them to the stupid category. They don’t bother to care who they shoot. Our troops call it the “spray and pray”. They just start shooting and hope (pray) for the best that they got “the bad guys” and not any innocent civilians (including children). The people that our troops worked with were against the Taliban so there was a shared desire but it was still jaw dropping at the ignorance. There. My two cents. Useless but there you are.

    • I hate politics, but I like ranting about things that make me angry or confused. And I like pissing people off. I have done posts against the KKK, gun nuts, terrorists, rich people, Dick Cheney, most organized religions, you name it.

I hear you. I shoulda named my blog “I Rant Therefore I Am”. And pissing people off comes naturally so it’s a smooth transition in my writing. Fire away Art!

I feel an element of pity, they will never know what it is to be happy. It’s the meaning of life, yet they never attain it. Too busy hating, judging, disapproving of people different to them.

They are looking for spiritual enlightenment, but they will never truly find it looking in the wrong places with the wrong guidebooks.

After years of diligent study and research, I have been unable to find any non-violent human religions (and yes even Buddhists have gone on violent sojourns). I have found, though, that all religions declare that they are non-violent at their core, usually just before they start killing people. I am beginning the study of my alien friends’ religions in hope that somewhere there is a real non-violent religion.
