After our lovely meal with the sharks… see what happens when you miss even one of my posts… you have no idea what the heck I am talking about… I mean, uh, even more than usual… we walked to that tall, wrought iron tower thing to enjoy the view.
I took that picture from the top of the tower. You might remember the tower from my series about how I was dating again, but it was okay because I am dating my wife. Anyway, I love that picture, the way the focus is on the spider web and not the view. I am so dang artistic.
I really have to remember to take more spider web shots.
There is a more standard picture of a view of San Diego.
It is funny how you can sometimes forget the beauty that surrounds you in everyday life… well, not me, I am an artist and still a kid at heart, so I notice flowers and babies and sunsets and clouds and stuff.
We walked around the same grounds of the same fancy hotel where the Barefoot Bar and Grill is located, because our younger daughter wasn’t there the first time. Besides, I have a blogging friend who likes ducks…
And I’m sure he will be impressed by that black and white duck up there. Come on… it looks like a cow…
That resort is really quite nice. We stayed there once… one of those ‘staycations’. We might have to do that again.
And then, in the window of a little boutique on the resort grounds, I spotted the sweatshirt with a pineapple with sunglasses on it. Now I want to do a whole series of Photoshop pictures of my sunglasses… which I am now famous for… on various random inanimate objects. I already did a series of pictures with my sunglasses on animals, and famous people, both living and dead… and cartoon… so where have you been?
I don’t really know why I took that picture… or bothered to share it with you… but those two seagulls on a roof just seemed to be so involved with… something…. that it struck me as funny.

All those webs and no spiders? I wanted some arachnids!
They are just so camera shy.
Huff…Puff…Pant…I am out of breath trying to keep up with your activities, Mr. Art! I am behind and trying to catch up! Those spider web shots are amazing and I can’t wait to see your pineapple series!
Me neither.
Mooooo!
yup
Caught in a web of intrigue. That family is looking a little pale though
In San Diego, you either cover up or fry.
Cooking fries
you could use olive oil as sunscreen
use lard first
That attracts sharks.
Could be why it makes faster swimmers then
That would do it.
“Lard … makes you faster than a speeding boat
*Disclaimer* Only makes you this fast in shark infested waters and with a shark snapping at your heels. If it does not make you that fast, there is no refund as we did not mention how fast the boat was going
It also makes you slip right through the water.
Haha true
yup
Gertrude and Heathcliff! I wondered where they went – obviously retired to beautiful San Diego where all the stars go. Ha! I can just hear them now.
Excellent pics Art. Love the staycation look. I never seen a bird the color of a cow. And that spider web- with no means of comparison it could be covering a large part of San Diego. Just how big was that spider? And was he wearing sunglasses?.
I didn’t know if my camera would take a good close up of the web or not, but now I am going to try more of those… maybe some dew-covered webs.
