The sun sets on Maui… part 1…

a 1 a 1

Well, this is it… the end of an era…

a 1 a 2

Or at least the end of the pictures of our 25th anniversary-second honeymoon on Maui…

a 1 a 3

Well except for a roll of pictures of a sea turtle I swam with, taken with a cheap, disposable underwater camera before I borrowed the cool Go Pro camera from Kirk… which I still have not taken to be developed… because that is just so last century… oh, and some videos I took with the Go Pro that I haven’t figured out how to get on the blog… because I am a computer moron.

a 1 a 4These are just random sunset pictures, mostly taken from the beach at our hotel.

I hope you have enjoyed the last month or so. I know I showed you a lot of pictures of jungle and animals and volcanoes and beaches and fish and stuff. But I tried to put a spin on it… you know, like I do… so it wasn’t just like looking at somebody’s vacation pictures… even though that is exactly what it was.

a 1 a 6

At least I tried to make it seem like you were looking at endless vacation photos being narrated by a stand up comedian.

Maybe you learned something about Maui, or was reminded of a time you went there.

a 1 a 8

Maybe you got some good ideas of fun things to do next time you travel.

a 1 a 9

Or maybe I am just kidding myself.

Either way, I do appreciate you letting me share this with you. Because it let me relive the experience. And now it is here… more or less forever… so future generations of little people with my genes running around inside them can look at it…

a 1 a 11

… and wonder what the hell was wrong with their great grandpa…

  1. I’ve enjoyed your trip immensely. Still a little jealous, but I enjoyed it.

Videos you have to upload to you tube first then use the embed code to do it unless you are paying for fancy extra features on the blog to post the directly, athough I have to say doing a monthly vlog alongside the regular blog is quite fun 😀

I’ve enjoyed your slides, in nice manageable chunks. I would put my Spain photos up but I only took about three photos. One is a view of the sea from the terrace, once is a view of a mountain from behind the terrace and one is a plate of beef carpaccio. It’s not very thrilling.

They are are excellent pics Art – i especially like the one with the rocks only and the sunshining across the water – that fades to black on the right. Very cool. (Third from the bottom.) What do you mean, your hineymoon? You mean these were actually vacation pics? OMG I thought you were showing us your portfolio as a blossoming photographer – sheesh.Well, if I had known all along they were vacation pics…

    • does it really say honeymoon???

Ha! Good question. It was the vow renewal. I knew you and your rainbow companion were long-term partners, But from the beginning I considered it a new honeymoon – not sure where I got that impression but it was reinforced by the renewal. I don’t know Art, it’s been so long since you started the pictures that I can’t remember back that far. (Teasing – I loved the pics. I’ll never get to go to Maui so it was great for me to see it thru your eyes.) Thank You
