We had a party this weekend on our post where we are trying to break the record for most comments. I am not fast at typing. I can’t keep up with more than two or three people all commenting at me at the same time.
Oh, when it is just a couple of people, I can be clever as all get out. But when 6 or 8 people are all typing at me, I get behind… let alone when I have to leave for a while and then try to catch up.
So I start taking short cuts. I type: HA!, yes, no, ok, dude, whatever, word, indeed, snap,uh, hmmmm, or sweet.
These cover most of the bases.
I occasionally throw in a: …ooo000ooo…
I don’t know what that even means, but I like the way it looks.
Now and then, when I had a busy day both on the post and in real life, I even copy and paste a random reply into every single comment until I am back in real time. Just because I always try to answer every comment I get on this blog.
Yes, I feel bad for taking these shortcuts.
But or record-breaking post now has over 19,500 comments on it, so cut me some slack, because I had to answer each of them.
You can still join us if you want. We are going to break the 20,000 barrier today or tomorrow and you can be a part of history… and meet nice people… and see some weird stuff.

I would like to try an experiment, a very important experiment, an extremely important experiment, one that will stand the test of time and reveal your eternal love of Dick Cheney if you should choose to respond to this comment with a canned answer because we all know that long comments are really good at getting on people’s nerves once and forever and i will just keep going and going and going and I will assume that the eternal love really exists if you do not say something in response that specifically rebuts that claim which you, I, and every visitor on this blog knows to exist.
