15,000 sounds like a lot of comments. But we already have almost 10,000… I know, I can’t believe it either. You still have time to get in on this historic event. Come and meet some new people. And become a part of history.

For some reason, WordPress claims to not keep track of what the highest comment count on personal, non-corporate blog post is… which is weird because they keep count of everything else, and even distinguish between ‘views’ and ‘visitors’, which is something that nobody even seems to want them to keep track of. But whatever. We have been trying to track down the number we have to beat on our own. We found one post that has 12,083 comments and counting. The funny thing is that the post is sort of obnoxious and many of the comments are negative. We do not have that going for us… sorry.

So unless one of you can tell me about a blog post with more comments than that, we are just going to shoot for 15,000… or more, if we feel like it… and then we are going to take our ‘unofficial record’ and drop that big steaming log of comments right on wordpress’ front porch…

    You should have it verified by the Guiness Book of Records, think big, why limit yourself to just wordpress? Break the record for the most comments on one post of any blog. Btw 10,000 comments? Surely they are very repetitive. How about each has to be original?? Now that would be a real challenge!
