I don’t know you, but I need your help. Yes, I freely admit that this idea started off as just another of my shameless attempts to bump up my stats. But it has grown into something really awesome, and you can be part of it.

To be honest, I still don’t know exactly what the current record for comments is. People started sending me links to posts that got a lot of comments. One post that went viral got a little over 1,000. I just got a new link to a post that has 3,704.
We are already at 2,315!
But don’t do this for me. We are having a lot of fun here. Meet some new people. Show how clever you are and suck some new followers to your blog. And be a part of history.
If you are already involved, here are some things you can do to help:
1. Reblog the ‘comment here’ post
2. If you are not a computer moron like I am, can you tell me how we can contact WordPress and find out what the actual record is? And maybe see if they want to help us by Freshly Pressing the post, or advertising it somehow? It seems like this is good for WordPress too, right? They want us to be busy.
3. Keep calm and comment on.

how so? If you “always” break the rules, then that’s like a rule. So following the rules this one time would be breaking your rule, which sets a GOOD example.
