No way…

That is obviously a doctored photo of me.

Yes, my hair used to be that long… longer during most of my youth.

And yes, I have been photographed under similar conditions.

But come on…

Look at the height chart…

a 3

You all know I am 6 feet 4 inches tall.

*** (I did not do this picture in Photoshop. I could have. I might have. But someone… I don’t remember who… told me about PhotoFunia… a website that does funny pictures like this. And I might just spend the day doing some more of these. Because they are easy and fun).***

PhotoFunia you say? I will have to check it out. My hair was down the middle of my back for most of my youth as well. Just came with the rest of the heavy metal youth gone wild package that was ME. I really miss my hair. Especially now that my hairline is receding like the tide going out on speed. lol. Ahhhh the good old dayze.

    • Thanks… and I respect you for not keeping it long in the back as it… uh… diminishes in the front. That look does not work for anybody except maybe that butler guy from Rocky Horror Picture Show, Riff Raff.

I find it so sad, all these young guys who are shaving their heads in their mid-20’s to 30’s. In 10 or 15 years they will decide to grow it back like it used to be, only what used to be won’t be there any more. They will have more forehaed to wrinkle though.

Yep. I had to have long hair when I was young. Part of the rock n roll rebel uniform really. I never lasted a week without someone saying “get a haircut”. I just told them all that if I went 3 weeks without hearing that from ANYONE, I would cut my hair. I had long hair for a LOOONG time. LOL. Then it happened. I always kept track and finally I went 3 weeks, without a word. True to my word, I cut my hair. I quickly grew it back though. Now I just wish I had the ability and the youth to pull it off. Oh well. Does my wrinkled forehead make me look distinguished?……Or just balding. LOL.

You may get lucky and with age have eyebrows like Andy Rooney, Milo O’shea or Larry Hagman. You can just do an up-comb with them and try to meet your hairline. HA There are a lot of old (40/50’s+) guys I work with who are stuck in the 70’s with their hair. Not a good look when your that old. Looks like you’re trying too hard. Very few guys can pull it off at that age, especially if their hair is no longer as healthy as it once was. And yeah, nothing looks sadder than a dude sporting the long-haired Friar Tuck look..

        • I still have long hair on my driver’s license picture!

      • Uh… I don’t think shaving it off makes it stop growing. Many of them will still have hair… it will just be a pleasant surprise.
