Flowers are starting to bloom, and the birds are chasing each other around like kids on a playground.
It seems like spring to me.
Sorry.

am i lost? have i stumbled on an english blog where everyone discusses the weather?
Pip pip, cherrio, been a spot of bother and we lost that other chap.
…….excellent; and i’d love to see you open an ‘authentic english pub’ too!
I could so do that.
I bet it would be hilarious…..in a good way.
you are a scoffer!
that i am!
And maybe a nay-sayer as well.
No, I’m not one of those.
See… you just did it… you say nay more often than a horse does… ha!!! At least you are not a ne’r-do-well.
You got me on that one, you sly devil….I mean, no you didn’t.
winning…
won
now
own
nwo
wno
you win again.
hot chocolate
with marshmallows
and more chocolate
And more marshmallows.
that’ll do it i reckon
yum.
It’s an ugly mess here, sick of winter.
Winter is a harsh mistress…
I feel your pain. It’s 82 degrees here today. I’m wearing shorts.
It isn’t my pain I am worried about.
oh come on, if you were worried so much about all these poor people who are freezing their patooties off, would you be rubbing it in? 🙂
Think of it as a warming patootie masage.
Now I love you man, but at this point in time, I must profess a certain hatred too. We have freezing rain settling in over dirty snow pack that itself is hardened over salt-slushed ice. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. If I had a flame thrower big enough, I would raise a bonfire to the heavens comprised of all you folks who live in nice weather. That’s right. I’d burn you all down.
Just kidding. Keep warm my friend. I have to go get something to stop my teeth from chattering.
Well don’t look at the flower pictures I have coming this week…
down in my part of the UK, renowned (apparently – even the brits are under this delusion) for being cold and wet, it was 15 degrees (no idea what that would be in fahrenheit) a few days after christmas, then dropped back down to the usual between -3 to 5 that we usually get. It looked like spring was coming early for us…but nope.
actually, couldn’t help myself, so 15 is about 59 and -3 about 27. So yeah, we had all hoped that spring had come early…
Hope springs eternal… ha.
Spring is a slippery beast.
It’s very warm here today too! We still have snow on the ground though so no flowers poking through yet. But it’s lovely & sunny & warm! Windows open for fresh air!
Sounds like the best of both worlds.
you do not feel bad and you’re not sorry!
True… but that would have made for a pretty rude opening to a post, don’t you think?
as opposed to sarcastic?
Not sarcastic… I feel their pain… I really do…
Uh huh
I am just that sensitive.
ahaha not
Just because I make jokes doesn’t mean that I don’t have feelings… have you not listened to my songs? My poetry? My words? I have a deep soul and a huge heart… unfortunately they are attached to a small brain, but we all work with what we have.
i believe you
just not in regards to the snow thing
Well nobody makes anybody live where it snows a lot.
gotta go where the work is…
You mean digging snow???
well ya at times, but i’ve learned to use the snow blower now after a week straight recently shoveling 5x a day.
it’s actually starting to melt off now!
I guess the best thing about snow is that it goes away sooner or later.
No need to feel bad. I felt good when I spent my Navy years (early 70’s) in California and listened to the Chicago area weather reports and took great pleasure in being comfortable while my family shoveled snow and froze. Back then it really did snow a fair amount in Chicago. Lately, it hasn’t, with a few exceptions. I do feel bad for those that really got clobbered in the central states, but they are not wimps about snow and cold as Chicagoans these days seem to be.
This is today’s snow:

Oh man… that is just crazy.
I spent some of the late 70’s in San Diego in the Navy. The city downtown has changed quite a bit since those days.
so cruel…. 🙂
It got a tad warmer here and my bulbs sprouted but now it dipped again and it’s bitter outside. It may snow again this weekend.
Vancouver won;t be much better, maybe I should have pushed my other half for the LA job instead.
No… never live in LA… as much as I would love having you that close, and even though my daughter lives in Long Beach… I wouldn’t wish that on anybody… although you could say goodbye to snow.
Strange. We had a big ice storm overnight here in Ohio, and yet the birds outside my window (including a very plump looking Robin) are acting pretty much the way you described. I guess they’ve had enough of winter just as I have…
I have a funny photo of a robin that I will be sharing soon. They eat these red berries and get sort of drunk…
Lol It’s ok, spring will be here in MN soon. Almost time to start the gardens (inside, of course). Pictures?
Soon…
We’re climbing into the 80’s today. Shhhh! I do feel bad for the midwest and all the other frigid states..that’s why I left 25 years ago and never returned!
Snow is fun to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there.
