I just reblogged one of my old posts because I am very busy today.
If you only read one of my posts, this is the one you should read. Well, not this one, the one below this one. It is the story of one of the many times that I almost died. For some reason, I have had more near-death experiences than anyone I have ever met. Anyone who is still alive, that is. And yet each story of my brushes with the grim reaper contains humor. I do not know why I have been singled out by fate to have these things happen to me and end up surviving. But you might as well enjoy them. I did. After they were over.
If I have learned one thing from these experiences it is that your life does indeed flash before your eyes. Oh, not in the same way each time. Sometimes it is just the highlight reel, and sometimes you see just about every bit of it. Sometimes you see parts that don’t seem particularly interesting, and other times you see just the faces of loved ones. Sometimes it takes what seems like a long time for this phenomenon to occur, and other times it passes almost before you know it. Maybe it has to do with what type of death you are facing. I am not sure.
But I do know that if you don’t lead an interesting life, you are going to have a boring show to watch when your time comes…

would you recommend this practice for stimulating one’s memory?
Yes, as long as you stick with the not dying part of the plan.
excellent….see you later hopefully
Hope you enjoy the show.
A good thing to remember is you will remember what you did not what you have…spend your time and money acquiring experiences not just possessions…
That is so true. Never once did I think about stuff I had when I almost bought the farm.
What a good point to make! I think I need to make my life more interesting!
Then you can almost die without worrying about it.
