Hello Blogosphere!!

Hello, this is Mollie.  Now it’s my turn to do a post.  I hope everyone enjoyed the post on my scrumptious meal.  I had lots of fun making it!  Although, I didn’t do it all on my own.  My grandmother guided me in the making of this meal.  This is really the first time my dad even let close to the blog, except to read it, because he almost makes me do that.  And I have got to say that he is pacing around the house like a caged animal at the zoo.  (Don’t tell him I said that!  ;~)  I hope that you like this post and I hope that I get to do it again real soon!!!!

P.S.~  The pictures for my dinner will be coming really soon!  (If my dad can figure out how to upload them!)   Goodbye blogosphere!

Mollie, what kind of animal does your dad remind you of most? I think you should get him to make a Photoshop of himself as an animal of your choosing. I think he will actually do it because he loves you so much. Pick a good one please!

    • I think my dad should be a… MONKEY! Those are his absolute favorite! I only know this because he goes around saying “I like monkeys… I like them a lot!” at least 20 times a day. Haha. ~Mollie ;p

  2. Dear Mollie,

It’s going to be brilliant if you have a regular slot on here – I’ll come to you when your Dad’s being annoying and needs a good talking to.

Ignore what Sacha said about working in his restaurant – I have a place waiting for you in my collection of Americans as my personal head chef and if you ever feel the need to run away from home, remember you have a nice job waiting for you over here. 😉

    Lots of love, Dotty xxx

oi! stop trying to pinch my chef!

mollie, you don’t want to join that collection; whilst it may sound nice and like a home from home, you’ll also have to put up with the collections’ meetings every month – hoards of plastic bottles, cardboard boxes and post it notes all moaning about working conditions, holiday request forms and how the bias towards cumberland sausages and bricks is beginning to give them all some severe self-esteem issues……….i feel i’ve made my point

    • Hahaha! I can see that as soon as I get out of college, there is going to be no shortage of jobs. Remember to look for me on Mollie Mondays! ~Mollie ;p

    • Thanks for the tip! ~Mollie ;p

Hi Mollie, That meal sounded pretty impressive! If you have as much to say as your dad, it probably won’t be that long before you have as many posts on the blog as him…start off with one a week then build up from there!

  4. Hey Mollie! About time this blog got a real writer. And chef, apparently! That whole meal sounded incredible, even if brought to you by the makers of lemon juice. Can’t wait for the pics. You’re a great daughter – because at 13 you’re way too old to still think your dad is cool. Ha ha!

Hi Mollie! Welcome to the blogosphere. It can be a lot of fun here. If you’re good as your Dad, and you should be, Mollie Mondays will be something to really look forward to.

  6. Bob's avatar Next Stop, Willoughby says:

Hey Mollie. I think that you should be able to post at least 3 times a week. He (your dad) usually listens to what I say, so just tell him that Bob said that you are allowed to blog whenever. 🙂

    • I’ll keep that in mind, thanks! I still have to check with my mom to see if it’s okay… but at least she called me a “little blogger” when I ran the idea by her. ~Mollie ;p

  7. Auntie Em's avatar Auntie Em says:

Oh Boy! Mollie is here! How are you chickadee? Supper sounds delish! Can hardly wait for pictures of your goodies…wait, maybe I shouldn’t be so anxious for them as they will just make me drool and want to have them to eat even more than I already do. Mollie’s Mondays sounds like a wonderful idea to me too! Bring it on girl! xox

    • Hiya! The pics of the meal don’t do it justice. Not to toot my own horn or anything. I can send you the recipe if you want! I’ll see if my dad is okay with Mollie Mondays… although I’m not sure he can refuse with all of you bloggers backing me up. I love you guys! ~Mollie ;p

      • Auntie Em's avatar Auntie Em says:

Oh yes please! I would indeed like the recipes! And tell your Dad he needs to bring you all back to the Midwest for another vacation soon so we can all see you again before you are totally grown up and don’t want to do things like that any more. xox p.s. Tell your Mom I said ‘hi’ too!

  8. It’s about time your dad got some sense and let you post on his blog. After all he brags about ya all the time! I think we all can see why…

Now, here is the plan, we need to talk him into you having Monday’s on the blog. I can see it now…. Mollie Mondays…. Nice ring to it don’t you think?

Remember, if he tries to get you to use his Photoshop, run! Hmm, maybe not, think of the things you could with pictures of your dad? hmmmm

    😀

Yay! More Mollie! Mollie should do a blog a week or something, it would be so much fun.

  10. Hey Mollie! Great menu. Now that you’ve started cooking and blogging, it’s going to be tough stopping 🙂 Don’t sweat the small stuff. Uploading is easy. After you’ve got that down you will really be hooked. Have fun with both.

hi mollie, the meal you made sounds scrumptious; and if it wasn’t so frowned upon i’d whisk (cooking pun there) you away to be head chef in my seven michelin star english restaurant…..i guess i’d have to bring (to the boil (cooking pun there)) your grandmother too, and those lemon and orange trees in her back garden (that’s english for ‘yard’), and your parents should probably be there to keep an eye on you also, have you got any pets? you know what; i’ll move my restaurant, see you soon, keep blogging!!

    • Thanks! I agree, that would sort of be kidnapping, even if you have good intentions. Haha. ~Mollie P.S.~ I like your cooking puns! :p Sorry for my dads racist comment… haha!

      • TheSeedSaidSo's avatar sacha1nch1 says:

that’s quite alright; your dad’s far too nice not to forgive….don’t tell him that though; his head’s big enough already, google earth’s zoom feature is practically redundant!
i’m glad you liked the cooking puns; they’re not even my best ones!

  12. sj's avatar sj says:

    Hi, Mollie!

The fennel salad and asparagus you made last night sound delicious! I’m sure the bananas were, too, but I’m allergic to those so I don’t really know.

I think it’s pretty awesome that you took your dad’s blog away from him. You should definitely post more often. 🙂

    • Thanks! Don’t worry, you’re going to see a lot more of me now that I got my dad to agree to let me! And making the dinner was easy. I’m sorry that you are allergic to bananas, but try substituting another fruit so that you get to enjoy it, too! :p ~Mollie

      • sj's avatar sj says:

I will definitely try it with a different type of fruit and let you know how it is.

Now that you’ve talked your dad into letting you post, you should see if you can get him to set you up as an Editor on the blog so you can post under your name and respond to comments as yourself.

(if he’s okay with it, I can send him a video showing how to do it)

        • That is so like you. That’s why we love you. We are driving home tomorrow, so I bet she wants to check the blog before I do when we get there. I may have to yield to public pressure and put her on the blog. I know I can count on your awesomne tech support, if her mom is okay with it. Thank you.
