When I feel a little down in the dumps, here is a funny thing I do to cheer myself up. I take a random love song and replace all the word ‘you’ with either ‘I’ or ‘me’. Yes, I sing a love song to myself. Let me give you an example.

Please don’t take… my sunshine… away…

Go on, give it a try. Find the perfect song and make it all about you. And when you sing it, sing it like you really mean it. Because you should.

It is a brilliant idea, and I got a smile out of “I am my sunshine” (which I needed today so thank you for that)
I honestly have no idea why “you’re so vain” was the first song to pop into my head, but it was funny, which I guess is part of the point of this exercise, right?

Lucky for you my humor is like lightning. One brilliant flash and it’s gone and very rarely strikes in the same place twice.
Well I have to be this funny day in and day out… sometimes 2 or 3 or even 4 times a day… and that is just if you count funny one time in each post. To be honest, I try to be funny more than once in most of them…. and in my comments… so you can see why there is a lot of pressure here… and you are poking the monkey…
