But does the horse have to be so… uh… anatomically correct???

a 1Here we are on day two of the recent visit by our English cousins… We went to Balboa Park. I have never bothered to find out why there is a statute of El Cid there…

a 2

That was the last view of many a foot soldier… just before a warhorse dashed out his brain with a giant hoof…

a 3

And that was the last view of many a fly… just before his dinner was served… seriously… did you need to put the ‘donut ring’ there? I mean, the veins are a nice touch of realism… but the anus is just overkill…

a 4

Some of you will no doubt recall that I visited Balboa Park not too long ago… yes, I posted pictures from the museums… and all those spectacular flowers from the botanical gardens.

a 5

Cousin Lynne wanted to see the botanical gardens and the flowers…

a 6

So, of course, this was the one day of the week that it was closed…

a 7

But don’t panic!

a 8

We walked around the park, and we did other stuff later.

a 9

That is the saddest palm tree ever.

a 10

And there were lots of outside flowers for our visitors to see…

a 11

Because this is San Diego.

  1. Arturo! Looks like you’ve been having an adventurous summer ( I would expect nothing less). 🙂 Yea, what’s up with the donut hole? Ew.

  2. Alastair's avatar Al says:

They had to make the horse like that as they needed to add Trump in there

  3. Simon's avatar Simon says:

That’s a nice park there, but like you say, who seriously wanted to make the horse so correctly?
