That is a woodpecker… sitting on a feeder full of jelly… suddenly realizing that jelly is a lot easier to peck than wood is…

That is not a woodpecker… that is a nuthatch… which isn’t really a better-sounding name than woodpecker, is it? And I just realized that all this time I could have been saving my pictures at 10-inches-wide instead of nine, because the top picture fills the page better than this picture… and if that is still true when I post this post, I will have a look on my face like that woodpecker…

I took these pictures at my wife’s aunt and uncle’s house… where my older daughter is getting married next year… which is located near the house that her… my wife’s… aunt and uncle… used to own… where my wife and I got married years ago… try to keep up…
