I mean, this was an awesome adventure, and I have lots of photos, and I usually do these things in some weird order that only makes sense to me… but for a change, I am going to start at the beginning and then see how long that lasts.
A few months back, my mother-in-law bought a small camping motorhome. She made sure it was big enough to fit her, and my wife… her daughter… and our youngest daughter. We go camping with my wife’s aunt and uncle… you might remember all this from earlier posts… like the one about the bald eagles.
Anyway, we have had plans for a while to go camping in the desert at a place in Arizona called Quartzsite. There isn’t really a town there, just a gas station and a few other things, but they have this huge swap meet every year. I will get to all that later.
I love that picture. It sums up Southern California perfectly… snowy mountains… behind palm trees and power lines… HA! See, my mother-in-law, and my aunt and uncle-in-law, left one day before my wife and daughter, because Mollie had school on Thursday. I needed to be there for the tricky driving parts. We head North out of San Diego, and then cut inland… East… when we were East of L.A. This took us through the valley where Palm Springs is located.
I took that picture while I was driving a motor home through bad traffic… don’t ever do that!
I took these other pictures when we stopped to take a break. But they really do highlight the fact that California has everything from palm trees to snowy mountains.
And it did seem like a good place to start.

YEAH YEAH YEAH. …Just give us the baby not the whole nine months. I mean I’m still really mad at you for just taking off and abandoning us like that, I mean how selfish are you? When you start a blog, buddy you better be ready to accept the fact that you are not allowed ‘time off’. We have the right to make you post EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE…so unless you want to be sued for negligence, you better tow the line from now on. After all it does say we will laugh at your antics or our money back, well, for 4 whole days we received no antics from you whatsoever. You better look at your finances because you may be getting a class action lawsuit against you for THAT little jewel…humph….imagine just disappearing like that. You could have been dead for all we knew! But NOOOOOOOO you just leave us hanging thout even a word….I swear…so,…just allow me to reiterate…NO MORE VACATIONS FOR YOU….you signed on to this and made a sacred promise to keep us laughing so…go on… if I’m not laughing withing the next 24 hours I’m calling my attorney. GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR!
well, I post like 6 times on most days, so I make up for it in the long run… also, this is very rare… I even posted on my second honeymoon trip to Maui… and on Christmas vacation. I just had no internet this time… which I will explain soon.
Whoa whoa now! Don’t encourage him too much! We all love the Browne, but he’s a just a man, not a Canadian. I have no idea why I said that. But I stand by it. Except that I’m sitting and mostly drunk. Details, details. Nice photos though, eh?
