The spam folder in your comments section is an often overlooked source of humor. Here are some of my favorite spams from this week… along with a totally unnecessary but well thought-out reply from me.

Spam: Your means of describing the whole thing in this piece of writing is
really fastidious, all can simply understand it, Thanks a lot.
Me: Considering that this comment was aimed at a post I did making fun of terrorists, it is impossible for me not to feel complimented by this comment… even though it was probably also sent to millions of other posts.
Spam: Right here is the right site for everyone who would like to understand this topic.
You understand so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I
actually will need to…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic which has been written about for years.
Wonderful stuff, just great!
Me: Once again, I feel strangely warmed by this sentiment… from some porn site… and I find myself wondering if they also manage to make pornography understandable and tough to argue with… let alone putting a new spin on it.
Spam: Some are slightly more time on where the consumers can self enroll and report their findings Mr Smith went
on my credit cards!
Me: See, this is just confusing and a little insulting. It obviously has nothing nice to say about me at all… and to top it off, it is from a London escort service, and now I will spend all day wondering who this Mr. Smith is, and why he ‘went’ on some poor escort’s credit cards.
Spam: Not only common sense some thought should credit be having permanent citizenship of UK2.
Me: This is also from a London escort service, and also leaves me baffled. Why am I suddenly so interesting to London escort services? And how does credit tie in with citizenship? But mostly, I just want to know what the hell UK2 is… is there more than one United Kingdom? I mean, I know Americans are bad at geography, but I think I would have heard about this somewhere.
Spam: An intriguing discussion is worth comment. I think that you should publish
more on this topic, it may not be a taboo subject but typically people
do not discuss these subjects. To the next! All the best!!
Me: See, now this is a good spam. It makes me feel like I am an awesome writer. This one was also directed at a post I did entitled: ‘Hey, terrorists, have you ever considered that terrorism just doesn’t work?’ I was very proud of that post… I am confused by the fact that all my spam this week seemed to be aimed at that particular post, because I did it a long time ago, as I recall… but obviously, this porn site knows good writing when it sees it.

Me: It is indeed the little changes that make the most significant changes… although I am not sure my humorous attempt at trying to get international terrorists to stop being terrorists counts as a ‘little’ change… but thank you for sharing, random porn site… although, I guess sharing is what you are good at.
Spam: What i don’t realize is actually how you are no longer actually much more smartly-preferred
than you might be right now. You’re so intelligent. You recognize therefore significantly in the case of this subject,
produced me personally imagine it from a lot of numerous angles.
Its like women and men are not fascinated until it is something to do with Lady gaga!

Me: This last one is my all-time favorite! I can feel the love… from this random porn site… What an insightful if poorly-worded and misspelled compliment! I do try so hard to be intelligent, and I often find myself wondering, hey, why am I not actually much more smartly-preferred than I might be right now? And I do indeed attempt to recognize significantly in the case of all subjects to produce in all of you a desire to personally imagine it from all angles. Thanks for taking up the slack, Art. My spam folder has been mysteriously light recently, making it impossible for me to keep up with my Spam Bam Thank You Ma’am series. Now I know where all the spammers went. I think they got tired of me mocking out their comments every month – but if they thought they’d have any better luck with you, they’re obviously wrong. I love your responses.
I saved my responses for all of you… but it would be fun to see what happened if we actually answered some of the spams…
I’m not brave enough to do that. I don’t want to accidentally download some kind of virus, nor do I want the spam to quadruple because I acknowledged it. Especially the spam coming from those porn sites – I really don’t need that.
Yeah, I have gotten in enough trouble for spam jokes on wordpress… sigh
