It’s like Crowdfunding… only you actually get something in return… (or); This might well be my most shameless post yet, and when I say that, you know it means something…

So it occurred to me that instead of trying to switch my blog over to a paid- advertising-infested hell hole, we could try something else instead… something simple… and shameless… at least on my part… in order to make it so that I don’t have to give up blogging just to get a crappy minimum wage job to… you know… pay the electric bill and buy food and send my kid to college in two years and stuff.

You could all buy one or two of my books.

Think of it as a Crowdfunding venture… or charity, if you would rather.

I mean, you would get a book out of the deal. And it wouldn’t cost you very much. And I would get like… a little more than a dollar for each book. So… win/win, right? The books really are good. This is only to get me through to the time when an agent picks me up and I start making millions selling books and movie rights and so on… or until my plan to use this blog as a platform from which to take over the known universe… whichever comes first.

Either way, once I am rich or the ruler of all that exists, I promise to pay you back.

The problem with that Art is that you make so little per book – you’ll never pay for groceries that way. It’s good for your reputation to sell more books but you’d have to sell a lot of them to make enough for your needs. Not trying to be a downer here. There is nothing that says that you can’t do both- sell books and do crowdfunding. Best of luck dude.

    • Uh… this isn’t an actual business model… it is more of a joke… that being said, it would be nice to sell enough that I can order some of the new kid’s book when I finish it… it is a vicious circle.

Shameless, yes. But I admire your nerve.
