Stupidity… an enemy that we can all agree has to be stopped! I mean, seriously, even if you are stupid, you do agree that stupidity should be eliminated, right? Nobody could be stupid enough to disagree with that statement, could they? I thought not. Even if you think that climate change and evolution are just made up ideas that you are too smart to fall for, you are smart enough to see that stupidity can never be a good thing. Good for you.
So here are a few simple things that you can do to help us win our war on stupidity:
1. If you suspect that you are stupid, please avoid having sex. The odds are that you will forget to use birth control or use it incorrectly. The safest thing to do is avoid any chance of creating new stupid people. But if you must have sex, try to have sex with people who are not stupid. This will at least water the stupid down a little.
2. If you are worried that you might be stupid, try reading something educational. Or watch some educational TV. Stupid is not actually an incurable condition.
3. If you are not stupid, find somebody that is… and teach them some stuff.
4. Whether or not you are stupid, spend some time everyday thinking about stuff. Give your brain a workout. This is never a bad thing. If you are not stupid, you will come up with good and creative ideas. Maybe you will invent something the world really needs. If you are stupid, thinking about things will, at the very least, help convince other people that you are not as stupid as they thought you were.

Have you seen the movie Idiocracy? They lay it out very well, all the smart people wait too long to have children, resulting in them being unable to have children, while all the stupid people are making like bunnies and reproducing faster than ever… leading to idiocrasy. It was a silly movie and your post reminded me of it 🙂

Alas, I battle against stupid every day; yet I still work here. 😉 I’m also losing faith that stupid is any kind of curable. I married one and divorced him 7 years later and even though I tried really, REALLY hard to show him the err of his stupid ways, he is STILL stupid 2 and a half wives and one more kid later.
Even though our son is less stupid than he is, kiddo is that much lazier which really burns me! Wait… … … maybe I’M the stupid one!? That would explain a few things…
I guess part of the struggle is for each of us to figure out if we are stupid or not.

Stupidity has become cool, Art. People are proud of their ignorance these days. It makes me crazy.
