After our dinner with the sharks and our walk around that fancy resort, we took the dog to her favorite dog beach… just in time to watch the sun set…
San Diego does have nice sunsets. It is partly because of the palm trees and the bays and the Pacific Ocean, and partly because the climate makes really awesome clouds. Clouds add a lot to a sunset.
I suppose it doesn’t hurt that we have so much pollution in the air, drifting over from Los Angeles. The particles of car exhaust refract the light and add the extra colors. Sorry, that is just a sad truth.
It is something to think about. When we finally pollute this planet to the point where we are all choking and gasping for air, at least we can all die looking at some really awesome sunsets.
To get that mental image out of your head, there is a slightly fuzzy picture of a slightly fuzzy dog.
Hey, that one turned out rather nicely.
And there is that picture of my eyes I promised you. Okay, my hair looks goofy… and I could have shaved first… but my eyes change color, ladies… just sayin’…
To be honest, I didn’t take that selfie to impress you with my sexy eyes… which I wrote a poem about, you might recall… but because I wore a hat at dinner due to the fact that we were outside in the sun, and when I took it off later, my wife and Mollie were laughing because my hair was standing straight up in back. That never happened back when I had really long hair. You might also notice, in the picture above, that Mollie is taking a picture of my hair… no doubt to put on Facebook later in an attempt to get me back for times I embarrassed her. Oh, 15-year-olds… they never give up trying.
Okay, people, catch you later.

You took your wife & daughter out for dinner with a scruffy face?
heck yeah I did
I love those shots
Well of course you do.
Ha,ha,ha! This cracked me up! Glad you can laugh about your daughter making fun of your hair. Better to laugh than cry. Beautiful sunset pics even if they mean we are all going to die soon.
I have more of them…
I think I know that dog beach, I looked at apartments to rent there..at least when I eventually go I already have the city mapped out in my head.
Who needs Google maps?
I have a thing for that when going away, I spend so long looking at accomodation and areas that I get it mapped out in my head. I use streetview to map routes. So if travelling alone I can find my way from a station to an apartment walking without wandering around like a tourist with a map and feel like I know a place by the time I get there. I have a photographic memory for stuff like that which comes in handy. Also for work as I can reel off thousands of part numbers which are about 10 digits long and know exactly what they are. It’s quite a boring talent I have there.
I have my own method for travelling. If I am going someplace new, I don’t learn about it at all. When I get there, I just start wandering. When I was young, I could always find the bad part of town. And I never get lost.
Too adventurous 😀
I still do the exploring… but I don’t aim for the bad part of town anymore.
