And seriously, that was one of the highlights of the trip, if not my entire life. Yes, I finally got the photos developed, and the quality sucks… I am not even going to bother posting the pictures of the other fish I took. But this was before we borrowed that awesome little Go Pro camera from the in-laws, so it was all I had.
I think this was from the first or second time I went in the water, just right out in front of our hotel. I spotted this guy, and had the pleasure of swimming halfway across the bay with him. We were side by side, only a few feet apart. That right there is a Green sea turtle, called the Honu by the locals… not to be confused with the Honu’ea, or Hawskbill sea turtle.
I was deeply moved as I let him go on his merry way.
I guess my wife took that picture. I like the bubbles.
She must have taken that picture of my smiley face too. Okay, that really is the last of the Maui pictures… until we get the ones off her cell phone…
“until we get the ones off her cell phone.”
HA!
Well I have shared about 800 pictures over the last couple of months just about the Maui trip and not including all my other travels and adventures, and other weird things going on around here.
I know. 😉
sorry… I forget who came in where and what they have seen.
that’s ok. throw a little extra makeup on me and a wig and I hardly look like myself at all. it probably doesn’t help that i up and changed my name and my entire blog. i did keep the content from that old, dry, dusty place, though.
the mystery deepens…
oh, you know me. I like being mysterious and enigmatic and all that.
you are being so mysterious that it defeats the purpose of being enigmatic.
I know. It’s a curse. The last time I tried something like this I ended up having to translate the binary for everyone.
okay… hints don’t work on stupid people… do you live in Arizona?
These aren’t bad! I love seeing the huge turtle. How very cool. 🙂
It really was.
Wow, I’m in awe of you, sea turtles are adorable!!! When I go on a sea vacation I want to see the Mola, Mola fish. 🙂
If you like fish, I did a bunch of posts with about 100 pictures of reef fish on Maui just a few weeks ago.
Oh okay great I will check it out!!!!
Just be careful down there… it is a little weird…
Fabulous regardless. I got to do that in the Caribbean too. But I have no evidence.
Memories… they are like evidence, but not so convincing in court.
That’ll be important only if someone thinks I made soup. It was too warm down there …
I hate it when that happens.
That looks so cool. All those turtles!
BTW: I got another view from Greenland today. 🙂
oh yeah… and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr………..
Those sea turtle pictures aren’t bad Art. They are what I would expect under water.
Well under 6 or 8 feet, it isn’t bad… and on land it is mediocre… but considering how clear the water was…
You managed to get a couple of good shots there. At least enough to trigger that happy memory.
Good point.
