Sorry, I couldn’t wait until tomorrow. I have to start now. Because after that huge breakfast and the walk on the beach in the last post, we drove up a freakin’ volcano…
That is what the volcano looks like, looming in the distance. Driving to the top, you pass through all sorts of changing vegetation… like this pine forest…
And then this short scrub brush…
We went higher…
And higher…
You can see the ocean peeking out from under the clouds… When we got to the top, we were pretty high in the air…
Parts of it look like you are walking on the moon…
We were inside the clouds… we were above the clouds…
It was really a rather strange place…

Kind of beautiful and eerie all at the same time. Carry on…
My life is like that…
Is it really that cloudy all the time on Maui, or just at those times when you took pictures?
We were there at the end of the wet season of a particularly wet year. There were lots of nice hours, but it rained at least a little every day.
I prefer cloudy, actually, so if it does get a lot of clouds, it’s a big argument for visiting Hawaii for me.
Go…
Didja need oxygen?
No. But you could tell the air was thin.
I believe it
why would I lie
you wouldn’t
exactly
OK I am seriously jealous of you! Hope you are having a fantastic time, and I guess that you are!
I am not sending these live… I am back home reliving the trip we took two weeks ago.
