Red rock…

So we spent the day in Sedona, Arizona driving, parking, hiking, and then starting the process over again. We walked part way up Bell Rock… that is not the original Apache name… they didn’t have bells…

a 1That isn’t Bell Rock, that is Eagle Rock, taken from Bell Rock.

a 2And that is a view up the valley as we got close to Bell Rock.

a 3There is Bell Rock. I guess it is sort of bell-shaped.

a 4Well, sort of a lumpy bell from this side.

a 5That is the view looking the other direction down the valley from partway up Bell Rock.

a 6I think you get the idea… we saw a lot of red rock.

a 7But some of them were really big red rocks.

a 8It did sort of take your breath away.

a 9Like I said, the desert can make you feel small.

a 10Someday I am going back and hike closer to Eagle Rock.

I love your photography – especially the one that shows the ‘bell’ shape of Bell Rock, and the one with the brightly glowing ball of light shining above it!

  2. Amazing rocks. A very exciting experience. Hugs, Barbara
