Apparently, you’re not the only one who tries to make money off your writing and art.
Getting paid to use my brain would be sort of nice.
We just have to suck it up…we get this for free and I know of one site that has shut down because they didn’t have revenue. I just hope they don’t put the ad for the game with the “roaches” on my site. That’s when I’ll take out the gloves! 🙂

This has been going on for a while now. Like you, I feel we should get a cut, but then I don’t want to pay for them hosting my site either. So I don’t complain.
I learned my lesson.
They do warn you about that in the back end. Also once you get enough traffick you can sign up to get a cut. You have a lot of traffic don’t you?

Each to their need. I don’t know how I feel about the ads. My contrary nature tells me to hate it.
I just want a cut of the profits… well… yeah… I hate it too…
I noticed it on some sites a while back when I noticed the placeholder for ads on mine.
It just seems like they could ask if we want some of the money…
I am not sure what policy WP has about AdSense and other pay per click advertisements on your site because I wouldn’t use them. Technically, you may be able to make money from ads on your site.
The Ads on WP aren’t as annoying as they are on other platforms. I barely ever notice them to be honest.
I hate to admit that I am looking into that with my daughter’s boyfriend because I am poor… thanks.
Actually, those paid ads are what is keeping wp free to use.
