There is a lovely picture of Mission Bay in San Diego. I manage some apartments near this spot, so that is where I go to work.
A pair of hotels at either end of the bay run a couple of replica Mississippi stern wheel paddle boats back and forth. I think that is the Bahia Belle. You can take a short cruise, drink some adult beverages, listen to a live band. If you time it right, you can watch the sunset and the lights come on all around you. It’s a lot of fun.
I tried to zoom in on the boat because it was so far away, and I guess I didn’t hold still enough. But I sort of like this picture anyway.

OK I understand now, it must be hard to leave the people you love. All the people I love live far away too.
I meant that I like the people who live there in general more than the people here… different mindset… but yeah… friends I grew up with…
I used to live down there, was just there visiting some friends last Christmas…shame I didn’t know you then, we could’ve had a laugh together! 🙂

Have they opened a second runway at Lindbergh Airport yet? Jeez, I used to hate flying in there when I was in the Navy. Can somebody move that building fer cryin out loud?? Great pics !!!!

Mission Bay (specifically the beach volleyball courts at Mission Beach) is the only part of San Diego I miss.
The only part?
Pretty much. I have some friends still living there that I miss hanging out with, but my life is so hectic right now I wouldn’t get to see them all that often even if I did still live there… And, I’m still living on the coast, so it’s not like I’m missing the weather. 😉
I wouldn’t mind moving.
When I left, I didn’t either. I had one very good reason – she was a redhead. 😉
