Sorry, but this might be an actual political post…

Does it bother anyone else that billionaires are spending millions of dollars so campaigns can spend millions of dollars to get either side elected? In these economic times when so many of us are struggling, it just seems obscene that so much money is being spent for such a thing. But the worst part is that the super rich are pouring amounts of cash that most of us will never come close to earning into this election just so they can have a say in laws and regulations and policies that will change our lives for the worse while changing their lives for the better.

There. That was nice and neutral. Both sides are guilty of that.

On a more personal note, please don’t vote for the party that thinks that big snow storms prove that global warming is a hoax. Or that the super storm that just devastated our Eastern seaboard is proof that god is mad at us because we aren’t persecuting homosexuals enough and couldn’t possibly have anything at all to do with climate change.

If we have to persecute someone, I vote for persecuting the people who are doing the election tampering, making it difficult for the poor and disenfranchised to vote, putting out misleading rules and regulations to confuse and alienate voters, trying to shorten the early voter time periods, misplacing registration forms, requiring proof of identification that a lot of people just don’t have, and enacting voter fraud laws to keep people from voting even though in-person voter fraud doesn’t actually happen. You won one election by shady means. Using appointed officials to pass new laws or change the existing ones just to make sure your side wins is the lowest form evil. If you can’t win fair, deal with it.

And can we get rid of the electoral college? How about just letting everybody decide.

Why should this spending bother anyone? After all, if you ain’t got it, you can’t miss it. I ain’t got any billions, let alone any millions. I did win $135.50 last night at the casino, however. Besides, no one is really “spending.” Them wealthy donaters are really buying. And who are those wealthy donors? No one really knows but those politicians being bought. You too can buy a politician if you get together with all your friends, pool your cash and go bankrupt. That politician will open up a soup kitchen in your name, maybe.

As to the Electoral College … [all vulgarities have been deleted]

Send this off to some op-ed page in a newspaper…

Well the thing of it is they are spending money rather than keeping it to themselves. The problem is they’re giving money to other already wealthy people so it’s a monkey in the middle game with the middle and lower class stuck with nothing while the rich keep….passing the buck?

  4. Oh man don’t even get me started with the stupid political world. I get too upset and I’m Canadian, it’s bad here too!

They just want power, but do they need it over so many people or you reckon if you just put them in a confined area of land and they can rule over each other – this may satisfy their needs? Kind of like a Battle Royale for politicians and CEO’s.
