So don’t panic.
Tomorrow, we are going to be driving home. But here is the thing… there is always a thing… My wife took the next week off from work because we are stripping the wallpaper off the walls in our bedroom and bathroom, and then we are painting the walls. There is going to be furniture moving, and sweating and swearing and turmoil and confusion. Then we are going to start work!
So even though I have been driving all over the Bay Area with my new Father’s Day camera getting unique shots of the bay and the fog and strange works of art and unusual houses and cute dogs, I may not have a lot of time to do anything with them. In fact, I may not have time to even type up any of my humorous observations, crazy stories, hilarious jokes or delightful insights. I will do what I can, and get by on less sleep than I need, because I know how much you all count on me to enrich your lives, but if I seem to drop off the radar, do not panic.
Besides, has anyone else noticed that since summer began, most people seem to have dropped out of sight? It is like a ghost town around here, and even the spirits are on vacation. But we will all get through these doldrums, and before we know it, the breeze will freshen and our sails will fill, and we will all resume our voyage to wherever the heck it is we are all trying to get to.

Oh man! Nice was was elroyjones. I’m just patience. I feel like Avis. I’ll need to try harder.
I swear I wasn’t being sarcastic.
He’s messin’ with us, faf. Don’t mess with solidarity, pmao. Who knows who’s nice? Historically, it hasn’t been me. Helpful, perhaps-nice, rarely.
🙂
Sigh…
Just deal with it, you two… you are both nice… sorry…
No need to be sorry, just so long as you admit we are not nice- interesting, unpredictable and mysterious quite likely but not extraordinarily nice. (Sally Field is nice, not that there’s anything wrong with that). We’re more like Statler and Waldorf on the Muppet Show. Sighing is better than sorry.
You are nice to me, for the most part… you could be evil succubi to other people, but why should that bother me?
As long as you’re okay, it won’t.
Or you could be mean to me, and that will solve the problem.
Oh stop, you know I was teasing you.
I know it. And what is good for the gander is also good for the goose.
Oh, but you can take some lovely before and after photos of your demo project. I insist that you do so!
I will consider this notion. I would rather document it than actually do it… sigh…
No sighing. Suck it up, Buttercup!
Carefulo now… I might be butter, but I am a churn full, not no little cup,.

Have fun with the redecorating (and swearing!). Thanks for mentioning how it’s like a ghost town in WordPressville– I thought I missed a memo or something. Maybe I’ll take a break, too!
No! Someone has to mind the ghost store while the spirits are roaming…
Do what needs to be done. We’ll be here when you get back. Catch you on the flip side…
Yeah, what faf said. We’ll be waiting for the next installment.
Thank you for your patience, even though I am constantly teasing you.
I’m a good sport! Be sure to use a good primer when you guys begin your paint project, it is a known swearing preventative. The paints with built in primer are not very effective.
Got it. Good advice.
You are just so nice…
Now I’m not sure. Is that sarcasm? Cause ‘nice’ comes hard to me and I really tried this time. It’s rough knowing with you. Mr. Inigma wrapped in a mystery. Me and elroyjones are hanging tough.
I was being totally serious. You are always nice to me.
