I am in something of a quandary…
(Not a quagmire, because the politicians have ruined that word for me, just like they ruined the word rogue)
I may have mentioned… (Well, I know I have, I just don’t know if you have read that far back yet, which is a shame, if you haven’t, because my blog only makes sense… some sense… a little sense… if you read it from the beginning forward)… that this blog actually has a purpose. In fact, it has more than one purpose, which you might be surprised to hear if you just tuned in for the funny pictures of Dick Cheney and ninjas.
First, I want to pour out my art… (hence the clever name of this blog)… because having art sitting in drawers or hanging in the garage is just sad. Somebody might as well see it, even the bad stuff… (sorry, but feel free to skip over the stuff you aren’t interested in. We have all been doing that to you, so it is only fair)…
Which leads us to the second purpose of this blog, which is to make me rich and famous… (Not rich off your money, don’t worry about that)… (How much money do you really have, anyway?)… But the plan is that when I get to 10,000 views… (which is coming up rather quickly, I must say)… I am going to use that to impress the hell out of editors so they publish my funny sci fi novel which I am now doing the final edit on… (Sorry if you feel used… It doesn’t mean that I don’t love you, because I do, and everybody who reads my whole blog… you both know who you are… gets a free copy of the book)…
Another purpose that this blog is now serving… (and I didn’t know this purpose until I was well into doing the blog)… is that it gives me a chance to vent, to cast out the demons and expose them to the light. I am blowing off steam. Doing those pictures of Dick Cheney as Fred Flintstone or a gynecologist or a rock or a sausage, really let me release some of the negative feelings I have about Dick and what he did to my country and the world, and that guy he shot in the face. I feel better now, and I hope some of you do as well.
But this blog has always had one major purpose lurking beneath its storm-wracked surface. This blog is my legacy. I am very touched that my older daughter reads my blog… (Hi, Jessica)… So do some of her friends, which drives her crazy… (Sorry, Jessica)… Mollie has read some of it, and I always show her the funny pictures when she gets home from school.
Someday I hope my Grandkids will read it. And maybe, their kids will read it. And if some of them turn out to be all-art-side-of-the-brain, and find themselves starting art projects by the score without ever finishing most of them, they will better understand their strange moodiness and bouncing thought processes, and they will know exactly who to blame for their peculiarities.
Join me, wont you, in my next post, where I will try to explain why I am torn about which direction to let this blog go from here, and why this is creating some confusion for me. If nothing else, it will hopefully justify the title of this post… especially the part where it says ‘part 1’.

Dear pmao,
I am nobody’s Bloopie.
When do I get my free book?
Love Dotty xxx
When I get it printed, you will be one of the first to know.
Are you dying? Is that what you’re trying to tell us?
It’s a blog. Let it go where it goes. You could always start a second one (I wouldn’t recommend it though, things could get confusing).
We all know the real reason why you started this blog. For the babes.
Don’t tell everyone. It is also why I joined the band, brush my teeth, and learned how to talk.
Wait, there are blog babes? What the hell am I doing wrong?
They are called Bloopies…
Fantastic. Love it. Keep going. Any direction is a good direction as long as it’s not backwards…I shall continue to eat my art out…hahaha.
That was a good one. And thank you so much.
Are you going to make a bad girl blog too?
It depends… which of you am I talking to now,? because the answer is either… of course not, I am never bad… or… I am seriously considering being very naughty indeed…
The bad girl is the only one who goes to other people’s blogs anymore. She is more fun to play with.
Just remember that if you respond to comments I make on the old blog, I can’t tell, and I answer with the first thing that pops into my head. That is where I have been getting into trouble.
Yeah, I know…it is a bunch of bs. I don’t know what to do though. It is funny, I have the comment moderator turned on for the good blog and off for the bad. Personally, I would love to have both turned off. I hate all this sneaking around crap, but I have to right now.
You are showing us the way to the future.
Something like that…
I actually invented the multiple-personality internet-interface, back when I took a college computer art class, in an early post. (hint) But I can’t remember the title of the post. (Trick).
Oh good! Finally, a prize.
I love that Molly looks at your stuff after school, and Jessica reads this, and that her friends do too, they must think you’re a cool dad.
I think of the legacy thing sometimes. I don’t have any descendants but that doesn’t keep me from thinking about it.
I hope you’re going to write some more. You do it so well.
I’m in for whatever unpleasant Cheney stuff you create and I wouldn’t let a silly thing like an Alaskan Republican keep me from a word I was fond of.
Kewl!
Jess doesn’t want to think I am cool… or funny… but sometimes she has to. Mollie still is young enough to idolize me. I will clear up my thoughts on writing in part 2. Thank you.
Oh Moll-I-E, I hate when I misspell someone’s name. Jessica isn’t 25 yet, 25 is magic, slow magic but magic all the same.
They both carry the magic with them.
Great luck. I’d buy it.
(it would be cheaper just to read my whole blog for the free copy, but you may just earn one for the great comments. Thanks).
