a 53I know that the whole ‘crack squirrel’ thing just started off here in a post I did where I was trying to explain the way my all-art-side-of-the-brain brain works… (it works like I have crack squirrels living inside my cranium)… and then evolved into a running gag… but I do think this would make an awesome marketing tool for my blog… even if nobody else would know why it’s funny…

It isn’t the slope that is slippery, it is your grasp of the concept of morality that is…

Why is it that the same people who worry so much about the slippery slope… the people who assume that if we pass one law that makes it harder for a mentally unstable person to get a gun then the next obvious step is the army storming his house and taking away his collection of assault rifles… or the ones who are sure that if we allow gay people to get married then it will only be a matter of weeks before we see a man marrying a sloth or an aardvark or a squid… seem completely unfazed by the slippery slope principal when it is applied to a woman’s right to choose, or voter ID laws that make it harder for minorities to vote?

a 52Okay, even if you don’t get the joke… which stems from the fact that I wrote and illustrated a children’s book called; I Like Monkeys… and even if you can’t see how a stuffed monkey with my face stuck on it can possibly be useful as a marketing tool for this blog when it doesn’t say the name of the blog anywhere on it… you could still get one of these… even if only to give to the small children of people you hate just to cause them to pay huge psychiatric bills somewhere down the road.
