The Oregon adventure continues… part1… Mount Hood…

We rented a small place on a little river, just a short drive from Mount Hood. Here is a view of the mountain from a lake we explored.

Gratuitous zoom lens!

There, that one has my daughter’ boyfriend fishing. You’re welcome.

This is the Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood. It was used as the Overlook Hotel in exterior shots in the movie “The Shining.” It was also where Mollie and I spent fifteen minutes on the floor in the lobby snuggling with Heidi, the Saint Bernard mountain rescue dog. More photos of her later.

I took that one from the car, but the sun reflections work.

A view from the mountain. That lake is down there somewhere.

Yup, there it is.

I knew I got a shot of the lake from this side.

See you soon!

  1. I love “The Shining” – both the book and the movie! Somehow, I’m not surprised you ended up at that hotel. I just hope Mollie and the dog are okay.
