Wet webs…

a 1

This doesn’t happen all the time.

a 2

Heavy rain doesn’t do this.

a 3

You need a very light mist…

a 4

Or a very heavy dew.

a 5

And spiders… you need spiders…

a 6

I know, these aren’t the eye-catching orb webs.

a 7

These are more like the front porches of funnel webs.

a 8

But, as soon as the big black and yellow garden spiders come back, I will get some shots of their webs… oooooh… I just had an idea…

a 9

You remember how I put that little spray/mister bottle in my camera bag so I could get pictures of roses and other flowers with fake dew drops on them?

a 10

I can use that on the orb webs even if it isn’t misty or dewey… oh yeah!

Really terrific macro shots of the water on those webs.

  2. Very nice, Art! They look more like crystals than moisture on spider webs.

Oh. My. God….These photos are stunning. Not that thrilled at the idea they’re based on spider webs, especially funnel web spider webs! Still beautiful though.

We get golden orb spinners here too, but I walk around at night with a stick in front of my face to avoid them. lol
