I am still playing around with those macro filters, the spacers that move the two lenses of a camera further apart, and let you take really close up shots.
This time, I am using the smallest one, the 20mm.
I do love doing these.
These photos are of another project from that glass blowing class I took , this time of the paper weight, the first thing I ever made there. I don’t know if this is a good, representative test, because the colored glass is submerged farther down inside clear glass in this one.
I am also still wondering if the macro spacer things are really necessary.
Maybe I could take these same images just by playing with the camera using the zoom lens a little further away. I will have to try that.
But these are coming out pretty well.
I am also still coming to grips with the tiny field of focus. I haven’t been cropping these photos very much. I even like the unfocused parts.
I loved working with greens and blues in the molten glass.
You gotta love earth colors, right?
