Still visiting my mom in the Bay Area. I found these weird flowers when I took her to a classical music concert in Berkeley yesterday.
And of course I am still taking pictures of the sunsets from her deck and backyard.
I took the flower pictures with my phone. They could be better.
But you work with what you have… speaking of which, I said I was going to start posting a few chapters of two of my novels I am working on… but when I went to open the Word docs, I found out my license had expired on my version. I am working on that. But all my tech support people are back in San Diego.
Is it just me, or do these look like they were grafted together from a bunch of different flowers?
Maybe the sunset is a combination of sunsets too… HA!
Anyway, I have a lot going on.

Nice shots. Those flowers, by the way, are passionflowers (or maypops). They grow wild a lot around here (the wilds of Arkansas). One of my favorite photo spots has a bunch of them, and it’s a great place to shoot butterflies (with a camera, not a gun … that would just be weird).
My mom knew the names of the flowers too. She also knows all the birds names. Not bad for 94. But she does also have a passion for hunting butterflies… with a bow and arrows… HA!
She could put out an eye! 😋
On a butterfly… she is that good!
