Well, it’s official… we are living in my mother-in-law’s condo for at least the next month… my wife, 17-year-old daughter, and I… while we have renovations done on our house. All our stuff is in boxes, either in a storage unit or our garage and our temporary dwelling. I will try to remember to take some pictures of our empty house when we go to get the last few things… and maybe some as the work progresses.
And I donated my roll top desk to charity. I love that crazy old desk. But we have new laptops now, and my music room… also known as the room our older daughter used to live in… is being changed to some kind of office.
It better have as many cubbyholes, drawers and shelves as my awesome desk did…

Oh, lordy – major renovations! Been there, done that – and survived! Fortunately we had 2 bedrooms upstairs that weren’t being renovated, and we couldn’t live somewhere else because of Puppy Cody (except for the one night we had to go to a motel because we didn’t have a bathroom). We had a microwave in one bedroom, and were able to climb over debris to get to the fridge in the kitchen most days. We ordered takeout A LOT. Not something I’d care to go through again. But the end result was well worth the grief. Good luck with your house, Art!
thanks… we are lucky to have family… we have popcorn ceilings that have to be removed… from everywhere…
What a great desk.
It is at the Salvation Army…
I want that desk. Awesome.
you could have had it for free
