I sort of alternate back and forth between two extremes… on the one hand, I am horrified that Trump might actually become president… on the other hand, I almost feel sorry for the republican party.
The thing is… and this is an ‘analogy’ type of a thing… but being a republican supporting Trump must be like being on a holiday flight to go see the carnival in Rio… everybody on the plane is giddy with excitement, drunk on tiny bottles of booze, and really psyched to get to the party.
And then the pilot starts saying some really crazy crap on the loudspeaker…
And the crap gets crazier and crazier…
And at some point… hopefully before the captain comes out of the cockpit wearing nothing but wind-blown hair and clown shoes… people start asking each other… “Hey, does anybody have a pilot’s license?”

The thing with a plane is that it will crash and everybody will die and won’t have to survey the wreckage. With Trump as president, we will all have to live with the consequences of the crash. And they won’t be pretty.
It is our next 9-11… or, as Trump calls it, 7-11…

Scary to watch, even as a Canadian – we have the largest trade relationship in the world and Trump will damage that and cost jobs. Also it feels very dicey living on the same continent with a man who controls the world’s largest collection of nuclear weapons and is publicly saying others should have more such weapons.
He keeps talking about doing all these new trade deals, and the idiots don’t realize that all those costs will be passed on to them, and they won’t be able to buy cheap crap at Wal-Mart anymore…
