Really neat Art – the common colors juxtaposed to the life forms. Very cool.
Ha! When I hauled frozen fish from Newfoundland,we had to call in when loaded and give our office all the load info. They used that for billing purposes. We had a new dispatcher one day and when I called in I told her i had 42,000 pounds of dead fish. I was expecting a laugh … but nothing. Two days later when I picked up my bills from the office – they all had “Dead Fish” as the commodity. Ha! I thought this was mildly amusing and carried on. At delivery, the warehouse men also found this worthy of a few chuckles. Thinking nothing more of it, about two weeks later the company owner asked to see me in his office. When we had settled into chairs he leaned forward and told me he had a message for me from the Head Office of our biggest customer – I wasn’t even aware they knew I existed. He continued that they said to pass along that if I hauled anymore loads of “Dead Fish”, as amusing as it was, they would not be paying for the load – a slightly less amusing result. As I got remunerated as a percentage of gross – if they didn’t pay then I didn’t get paid. They said they would pay for as many loads of “Frozen Fish” or “Fresh Fish” as I cared to haul – and to thank me for my attention to this matter.
they are so sensitive, those dead fish people…
I know, imagine – you wouldnn’t think that dealing in dead things, they would be so sensitive.
to smell maybe…
