That isn’t actually a dog or a duck… those are my two daughters… just so you know. These are the last photos of our family get-together up at my wife’s aunt and uncle’s house, where we celebrated both my daughters turning one year older. One of the best things about uncle Bert and aunt Sharon are the gifts they give… in this case, those two incredible masks.

The really good news is that my older daughter… Jessica… the duck head… is much too busy planning her upcoming wedding and working to have time to play with a duck mask. Now, if you have been here a while, you know that I carry funny puppets with me in my car. When I get stuck in traffic or at a long stop light, I use them to amuse kids in the cars around me… my ostrich puppet it a real favorite. I like to make anybody who gets a ride with me put it on and stick it out the window… (you can type: ‘ostrich’ into my search bar if you want to see what I do with it)… anyway, I am now the proud owner of a duck mask. My plan is that when I am stopped at lights, I will duck down… (pun intended)… and put the mask on. I would drive around with it on, because that would be funny… but it would also be unsafe.

The title of this post is actually more clever than it might at first seem… because, before I even knew about the masks, I was walking around taking pictures to share with you, and I took some pictures of the dogs… that is Riley, Sharon and Bert’s dog on the left, and Shiloh, our dog, on the right. They were practicing their cute faces.

I also, by pure coincidence, took some photos of these ducks, down in the pond near the house.

So I had pictures of ducks…

And I had pictures of dogs…

Because I like animals, and ducks and dogs are animals, as far as I know…

And when I looked at all my photos to get them ready to post for you…

I saw a theme developing in the pictures I hadn’t posted yet…

There is Jessica wearing Mollie’s dog mask… with her fiancé, Jason, beside her. I really need to borrow the dog mask from Mollie, and put it on for just a few miles on the freeway, no matter how unsafe it is… just to see the looks on the other divers’ faces…

I might need some furry white gloves too…

I can hardly wait to start playing with those masks…

Let’s just hope I don’t cause an accident… I mean, there is a reason… lots of reasons… why I have been banned for life from doing practical jokes… (oh, you should probably type: ‘practical jokes’ into the search bar too… I did a series of posts about why I am no longer allowed to do them… you could also look up my ‘driving miss crazy’ series… that would also explain it)…

Ha! Fun Art.
It was… and will be
Fun and awesome photos, Art. 🙂
thanks
If you do wear a dog mask when you’re driving, make sure to add a “Warning: Seeing Eye Dog Driving” bumper sticker and have a passenger in sunglasses next to you or in the back seat.
I like where you are going with this… I always thought it would be funny to wear shades, and drive with a really long blind person’s cane stuck out in the window in front of the car, moving it back and forth…
