Oh, and you still have a chance to make up the name of a character in my new novel and be famous… when they make it into a movie someday…

Once again, I do not have any problems making up names for characters… I write action/humor science fiction too, and coming up with names for hundreds of aliens is a bit of a challenge… but me and my crack squirrel-infested cranium are up to the task…

No, this is simply a chance for you to show off your own creativity, while letting you see a name you came up with in an actual printed novel… (okay, it also makes you much more likely to buy the novel when I finish it, but let’s not dwell on that)…

The novel, ‘The Seven Kingdoms’, which I am posting as I type it, and which also appears under the button in the top bar, is coming along nicely, but it is expanding, as all my artistic ventures seem to do. I thought I had the whole thing mapped out for a change… (as opposed to my sci-fi novels which I wrote without ever looking ahead past the next sentence)… but it has taken on a life of its own. New characters keep popping up. The storyline has opened up. In fact, when I post the next couple of chapters, I will have to tell you about it in that annoying commentary I do before each chapter… [but not in the version under the button in the top bar])… because I have sort of altered the overall focus. What started as a simple story about a bunch of princesses who become pirates to fight back against the evil empire has become an allegory about a pivotal time in the history of our world. Strong female role model characters have morphed into the beginnings of women’s lib on a made up world.

Yes, I still want to take the princess story back from the Disney corporation, but it is becoming more than that.

But all these new and unexpected characters need names… and those name might as well make you famous. It can be your own name, which I will change just a bit to fit the world I created. Or give me the name of your boss and I will make him a bad guy… or you can just see if you can come up with a random assortment of syllables… whatever strikes your fancy. I already wrote 5 or 6 of you in there. I even turned the name of someone’s dog into a cool carnivorous creature that played a big part in one scene.

Come on, people, show us what you got.
