This was sort of an emotional rollercoaster of a morning. First, the news reports an active shooter at the Naval hospital where my brother works. We finally get a hold of him… and find out that he wasn’t at work, because he had a dental appointment… then I felt bad for feeling so good that he was safe when other people weren’t… and then the news reported that it looked like a false alarm.
The moral of the story is this: don’t take too good care of your teeth… I guess…

I’m sorry for the scare you endured. Happy it turned out well. Do not feel about being relieved while others did not fare as well. Life in itself is always a death sentence from the time we are born. We all die human and animal alike. So the one dies the other dies.
Matt 10:29-31 29 Two sparrows sell for a coin of small value, do they not? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So have no fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.
I will try to take comfort in that
Scary stuff. Thank goodness for the dentist!
four out of five dentists agree… guns do kill people
Absolutely! Scary stuff.
yup
I can only imagine your reaction on hearing that story on the news. Thank heavens it was a false alarm.
What are the odds?
Unfortunately, these days it could happen anywhere, any time, and to any one of us or our friends or relatives.
and how many of them turn out to be false alarms???
Not as many as I would like. It’s scary out there.
true dat
Ay, that is crazy scary! SHAKING MY HEAD FURIOUSLY! 😦
me too
Scary world we live in — all these f’ing guns don’t make a single one of us safer … Glad your brother is OK (and that everybody else is. A false alarm is better than a mass shooting. Another mass shooting.)
true enough
