Synchronized aqua-squats… why is this not an olympic sport???

Sorry about that… I am still trying to finish up with the pictures from our epic Thanksgiving week camping adventure, and funny titles do draw in the tourists…

a 2On top of seeing all the cool birds that I already shared pictures of, when we were cruising around out on that lake, we also saw a lot of deer,

a 3 Because of the drought, they have to come way down to get a drink.

For some reason, the deer like to go to the bathroom in the same water they drink… hey, don’t judge, humans did that for most of our history too, and until way more recently than you might think. Just Google it. The Thames river got so bad that they almost abandoned London, and I am not talking back in the Medieval period either.

The nice ranger lady explained that for some reason, when the deer see one deer do it, they all want to join in.

a 6

Now, I could have Photoshopped this to make it look like there were dozens of deer all doing it at the same time…

a 7

But that would have just been silly.

a 8

Now, me, I like deer.

My mom and most people in the Bay Area, however, hate them. They eat all the flowers in peoples’ gardens and there are a lot more deer around than there used to be… you can’t hunt them, it’s the Bay Area. (No, these pictures aren’t from the Bay Area, this is still near Solvang, where we camped, I am just throwing in some words to separate the photos.

That’s just how I roll.
